The Pittsburgh Steelers offense finally opened up the passing game with Justin Fields in a 20-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers ... and as a result, they remain unbeaten on the season.
The Steelers trailed 10-7 at halftime, but Fields keyed a second-half rally scoring 13 straight points en route to a win that moves the club to 3-0 on the season.
Fields was 25 of 32 on the day for 245 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The former Bears No. 11 overall pick - traded here in the offseason - also added a touchdown on the ground.
Fields hit eight different receivers in this Week 3 win, with the big play being a 55-yard touchdown pass to receiver Calvin Austin III to pull away in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, the Steelers defense would hold the Chargers to a three-and-out on their next possession.
Following the punt, the Steelers started their drive on their own 32-yard line with 4:59 remaining in the game. Fields led his team down the field and took two kneel-downs at the Chargers 1-yard line to run the clock out.

This was the kind of "controlled offensive breakout'' coaches and fans have been waiting to see from Fields. He was steady in the pocket, made mostly all the right throws as he ended with just seven incompletions on the day and a 96 QBR.
Fields is starting to develop into the quarterback the Steelers hoped he would be. If he can continue to play this way week in and week out, Russell Wilson may never see the field this season. ... and the kid will be quarterbacking a playoff team.
